Create a key
Open Settings, API keys and create one. It starts with vdr_ and works for MCP, the CLI and the HTTP API alike.

Add the server to your client
Paste the command above into a terminal, or drop the JSON for your client into its MCP config. The server is remote: nothing to install or keep running.

Ask your agent
Ask in plain words. The agent picks the tool, reads the data and stops for your approval before anything sends or publishes.

Connect your client

Streamable HTTP with your vdr_ key as a bearer token. Claude Desktop and other stdio-only clients run the same server through the vdr mcp bridge.
